On January 24, 2025, the Department for the Protection of the Internal Market of the Eurasian Economic Commission issued the final ruling disclosure of the anti-dumping investigation on aluminum foil originating from China. It was determined that the products (products under investigation) were dumped, and such dumping caused material injury to the Eurasian Economic Union. Therefore, it is recommended to impose an anti-dumping duty on the enterprises involved for a period of five years.
The aluminum foil in question has dimensions of a thickness ranging from 0.0046 millimeters to 0.2 millimeters, a width ranging from 20 millimeters to 1,616 millimeters, and a length exceeding 150 meters.
The goods in question are products under the HS codes 7607 11 110 9, 7607 11 190 9, 7607 11 900 0, 7607 19 100 0, 7607 19 900 9, 7607 20 100 0 and 7607 20 900 0.
The anti-dumping duty rate for Xiamen Xiashun Aluminium Foil Co., Ltd. is 19.52%, for Shanghai Sunho Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. is 17.16%, and for Jiangsu Dingsheng New Materials Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. and other Chinese producers is 20.24%.
The EEC launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on Chinese aluminum foil on March 28, 2024.
