China’s aluminum industry is steadily growing, with October production data reaching a new high

According to the production data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on China’s aluminum industry in October, the production of alumina, primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum), aluminum materials, and aluminum alloys in China has all achieved year-on-year growth, demonstrating the sustained and stable development trend of China’s aluminum industry.

In the field of alumina, the production in October was 7.434 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. This growth rate not only reflects China’s abundant bauxite resources and advances in smelting technology, but also highlights China’s important position in the global alumina market. From the cumulative data from January to October, the production of alumina reached 70.69 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, further proving the stability and sustainability of China’s alumina production.

In terms of primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum), the production in October was 3.715 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%. Despite facing challenges from global energy price fluctuations and environmental pressures, China’s primary aluminum industry has maintained stable growth. The cumulative production from January to October reached 36.391 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%, demonstrating China’s technological strength and market competitiveness in the field of electrolytic aluminum.

The production data of aluminum materials and aluminum alloys are equally exciting. In October, China’s aluminum production was 5.916 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, indicating strong demand and active market environment in the aluminum processing industry. At the same time, the production of aluminum alloy also reached 1.408 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%. From cumulative data, the production of aluminum materials and aluminum alloys reached 56.115 million tons and 13.218 million tons respectively from January to October, an increase of 8.1% and 8.7% year-on-year. These data indicate that China’s aluminum and aluminum alloy industry is continuously expanding its market application areas and enhancing product added value.

The steady growth of China’s aluminum industry is attributed to various factors. On the one hand, the Chinese government has continuously increased its support for the aluminum industry and introduced a series of policy measures to promote technological innovation and green development of the aluminum industry. On the other hand, Chinese aluminum enterprises have also made significant progress in technological innovation, production efficiency improvement, and market expansion, making important contributions to the development of the global aluminum industry.
