Argentina Initiates Anti-dumping Sunset Review and Change-of-Circumstances Review Investigation of Aluminum Sheets Originating from China

On February 18, 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Argentina issued Notice No. 113 of 2025. Initiated upon the applications of Argentine enterprises LAMINACIÓN PAULISTA ARGENTINA S.R.L. and INDUSTRIALIZADORA DE METALES S.A., it launches the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review of aluminum sheets originating from China.

The products involved are 3xxx series non-alloy or alloy aluminum sheets conforming to the provisions of Article 681 of Argentina’s national IRAM standard. The diameter is greater than or equal to 60mm and less than or equal to 1000mm, and the thickness is greater than or equal to 0.3mm and less than or equal to 5mm. The Southern Common Market tariff numbers for these products are 7606.91.00 and 7606.92.00.

On February 25, 2019, Argentina initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum sheets originating from China. On February 26, 2020, Argentina made an affirmative final ruling in this case, imposing an anti-dumping duty of 80.14% of the free on board (FOB) price, which is valid for five years.

This notice shall come into effect after being published in the Official Gazette.
